We're super excited to announce our brand new alpaca handler course, launching this October.
The 6 week hands-on handler course gives you the perfect opportunity to learn about all things alpaca at Goodness Farm.
Students will spend 1 hour per week with the alpacas, learning about the species and understanding how to care for them.
Attendees will learn about welfare, shelter, feeding and healthcare, as well as the fascinating science and art of the alpaca fleeces. There's also the opportunity to get hand-on, learning how to put on a halter and walk an alpaca.
On completion of the course, students will recieve a certificate of achievement.
Is there a minimum age?
We offer three different courses, based on different age groups, with a maximum of 6 students per course.
- Mini handlers - under 11 (must be accompanied by an adult)
- Junior handlers 11 - 16
- Adult handlers 16+
